Job summary

ICF Power Delivery Services in the United States is seeking a highly motivated Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead designs from conceptual engineering through final design, applying NESC, IEEE, and FAC-008 standards while ensuring accuracy and schedule adherence.

You will review specifications, data sheets, RFQs, and vendor drawings, collaborate with project managers on scope and budgets, perform QA/QC, conduct field inspections, and present technical reports to support projects for public

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field)
• 5+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar)
• 5+ years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm
• 5+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line designs from concept to final design, including EFM, conductor sizing, impedance, and voltage drop analysis.
• Provide senior-level technical expertise ensuring accuracy, best practices, and design solutions.
• Perform studies such as conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance, grounding, and clearance per NESC.
• Interpret and apply regulatory requirements including NERC, FERC, and regional standards.
• Prepare and review technical documents such as specs, data sheets, RFQs, and vendor drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, and change orders.
• Conduct QA/QC for engineering deliverables, CAD outputs, and construction activities.
• Lead field inspections, measurements, and installation reviews for public and private clients.
• Develop and present technical reports and support business development with clients and contractors.
