Job summary

ICF is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and grow our new transmission line engineering practice. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, deliver complex projects, and build long-term client relationships with utility customers nationwide.

This leadership role emphasizes staff development, financial performance, and strategic growth, with a focus on safety, quality, and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Power Engineering and PE licensure.
• 12+ years with electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting.
• 10+ years transmission line engineering (design/analysis/modeling).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing project portfolios.
• Project management for transmission projects 4kV-500kV with WBS and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transmission line engineers and designers.
• Manage staffing, recruiting, workload forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee delivery of transmission line projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership and promote best practices and innovation.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, QA/QC, and workflows.
