Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to advance our transmission engineering practice. You will lead complex design and analysis, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality deliverables for utility clients.

The role emphasizes senior technical leadership, coaching, and adherence to standards in a fully remote environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in transmission line design, PLS-CADD, and regulatory compliance, with a proven track record in delivering

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field).
8+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar).
8+ years experience with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm.
8+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee complex transmission line designs from conceptual engineering through final design.
Provide senior-level technical expertise and direction to design staff.
Perform engineering studies such as conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance, grounding calculations, and regulatory compliance.
