Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is partnering with a global manufacturer of engineered lithium battery solutions to hire a Technical Sales Manager for the U.S. region. This is a remote, field-based role requiring a proven track record in lithium battery sales and established OEM relationships.

You will develop new customer relationships, drive design-in and quote activity, and collaborate with engineering and product teams. Travel within the United States is expected.

Qualifications

• Direct sales experience with lithium batteries.
• Established OEM/customer relationships preferred.
• Experience selling into medical, IoT, electronics, instrumentation and/or small industrial OEM applications is highly preferred.
• Proven hunter/new-business-development background.
• Comfortable traveling across the U.S. for customer meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Develop new OEM/customer relationships and expand existing business throughout the U.S.
• Sell lithium battery cells, packs and customized battery solutions into medical, IoT, test & measurement, electronics and small industrial applications.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities from prospecting through design-in, quoting, negotiation and close.
• Work directly with engineering, purchasing, product development and other customer stakeholders to understand their applications and battery requirements.
• Leverage your existing industry relationships and network to accelerate growth.
• Partner with the company’s battery engineering/application teams in Europe for technical support when needed.
• Manage and develop relationships with distributors and manufacturer’s representatives.
• Identify new markets, applications and strategic accounts.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans and sales activity.
• Travel regularly throughout the territory for customer meetings, industry events, trade shows and partner meetings.
