Job summary

PAR Technology is seeking a Technical Account Manager/Partner (Data) Engineer to join our Partner Engineering team, reporting to the Vice President of Solutions Engineering. You will educate clients on platform capabilities, manage expectations, and document solutions in Confluence.

The role combines data engineering, AI integration, and customer-facing advisory across AWS, Python, and SQL, delivering scalable data pipelines and trusted analytics for enterprise partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in CS/Data Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong SQL and Python with data stack experience.
• Experience with Snowflake/Redshift/Athena and AWS analytics tools.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Proficiency with Jira, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Airflow and AI tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on platform capabilities, integration practices, and data governance.
• Proactively manage client communications, expectations, and roadmaps.
• Document solutions clearly in Confluence or internal wikis.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Develop in Python using pandas, numpy, polars, pyspark, and boto3.
• Leverage AWS services including S3, EC2, Redshift, Athena, Glue, EMR, EventBridge, Batch, CloudWatch.
• Write production-grade SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Follow Agile practices using Jira; contribute to a DevOps culture.
• Troubleshoot data issues across AWS services, pipelines, and codebases.
• Leverage Claude AI to accelerate client-facing docs and code reviews.
