Job summary

PAR Technology is seeking a Technical Account Manager/Partner (Data) Engineer to join our Partner Engineering team. You will be the primary technical liaison for strategic clients, guiding data integration projects from scoping to implementation and ongoing support while translating complex concepts into clear guidance.

You'll collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, own long-term client success, and help design scalable data pipelines on AWS, using Python and SQL to solve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years in a technical role with direct client interaction.
• Strong SQL and experience with data platforms (Snowflake/Redshift/Athena).
• Proficient in Python and AWS cloud services; ETL and data pipelines experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical liaison for clients, ensuring long-term success.
• Translate complex concepts into updates for non-technical audiences.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and align on requirements.
• Educate clients on platform capabilities and data governance standards.
• Proactively manage client communication and roadmaps.
• Document solutions in Confluence or internal wikis.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Develop in Python and leverage AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR).
• Write production-grade SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker.
