Amped I LLC in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Protection & Controls Substation Engineer. This fully remote, full-time role lets you design protection and control systems for substations while collaborating with a team of experienced electrical engineers.

You will guide entry-level engineers, run relay protection studies, and contribute to project success from home. Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited EE degree, an EIT, and at least five years in HV substation protection and control.

Formación

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree.
• EIT designation required; PE preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in relay protection and control design for HV substations (15-500 kV).

Responsabilidades

• Lead engineering projects and coordinate design documents to meet milestones.
• Create/modify one-line and three-line diagrams, relay panels, and BOMs.
• Design auxiliary AC/DC power systems and SCADA interfaces.
• Develop system integration of protection, control, automation, and monitoring.
• Perform protective relay settings and coordination studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Support project manager and participate in client meetings.
