Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category management, engage internal customers, and drive sourcing execution. You will select and manage suppliers, plan RFx activities, and monitor performance while addressing risk across the sourcing lifecycle.

The role supports remote work across the United States and requires availability for CST or PST hours. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in procurement/sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and experience with eSourcing

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in Procurement/Sourcing
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Experience with eSourcing and spending analytics tools such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or Ivalua
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Suite
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools is a plus
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience
• Ability to lead complex sourcing events (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop category management plans and sourcing strategies
• Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute supplier initiatives
• Develop reports on savings, metrics, and KPIs
• Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance
• Support RFx efforts by guiding project teams
• Collaborate with Legal, InfoSec, and Third-Party Governance on agreements
• Manage procurement engagements with key business units
