Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category development, supplier engagement, and sourcing execution across the United States. You will collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders, guide RFx processes, and drive cost savings and risk reduction while ensuring value delivery.

The role requires extensive experience in procurement, with strong analytics, Excel/Google tools, and familiarity with eSourcing platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing, including at least 6 years in sourcing software and tech services.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Experience with eSourcing and spend analytics tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua or similar).
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
• Excellent communication and detail orientation.
• Category management plan development and execution experience.
• Ability to lead complex sourcing events (RFP, RFI, RFQ).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category management plans and sourcing strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute supplier initiatives.
• Develop analytical reports on savings, metrics, and KPIs.
• Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance.
• Support RFx efforts and lead project teams through supplier selection processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance to secure favorable terms.
• Manage strategic procurement engagement with key business units.
