Job summary

Empower seeks a Lead Stock Plan Services Associate to act as the operational lead and subject matter expert for stock plan operations, including equity programs, brokerage processes, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate daily workflows, review complex transactions, and drive improvements across Operations, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Technology to ensure accurate, compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field or, in lieu of a degree, four additional years of financial services experience.
• Minimum of six years of financial services experience.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 registrations required.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.
• Advanced knowledge of stock plan administration and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional operational initiatives and coordinating across partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational lead and subject matter expert for Stock Plan Services.
• Coordinate daily operational workflows and set processing priorities.
• Review and approve complex stock plan transactions within authority.
• Lead resolution of complex escalations with root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to associates as escalation resource.
• Support equity compensation programs including RSUs, stock options, ESPP, and trading plans.
• Coordinate readiness for new products, regulatory changes, and client implementations.
• Identify risks and strengthen internal controls in line with regulations and audits.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for workflow optimization and standardization.
• Prepare operational reporting, KPIs, and audits; develop SOPs and training materials.
