Job summary

hims & hers is seeking a Senior Staff SDET for Customer Engineering in the United States. This hands-on, senior technical leadership role focuses on quality architecture, AI-powered testing, and scalable automation across multiple teams. You will shape release confidence by defining testing guardrails and building robust evaluation pipelines.

You will mentor SDETs, drive reliability, and partner with leadership to embed scalability into roadmaps while delivering high-quality software at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on quality engineering or SDET experience.
• Experience architecting quality strategy and automation platforms across multiple teams.
• Experience designing AI-assisted testing and evaluation harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Own quality architecture and long-term strategy for critical systems.
• Design shared QA platforms, automation frameworks, and test infra adopted across teams.
• Drive AI-driven testing, including autonomous test generation and self-healing workflows.
• Lead operational maturity of quality signals, dashboards and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor senior SDETs and other engineering leaders on AI fluency in testing.
