Job summary
Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to drive the architectural overhaul of our client experiences across web and mobile. You will shape a multi-year vision for video creation, editing, and new contribution formats within the shared post and comment systems.
You will own performance, edge pipelines, and cross-platform standards, partnering with Web, iOS, and Android teams while guiding the Contribution engineering group toward scalable, high-quality delivery.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in consumer-facing client apps.
- Deep mastery of modern web architecture and native mobile paradigms.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the client architecture strategy for scalable video creation and editing.
- Build and scale new contribution formats within shared post/comment experiences.
- Mentor the Contribution engineering team and align Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate prototyping and system design.
- Lead performance-focused client infrastructure for low-latency rendering and syncing.
