Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Senior Site-Reliability Engineer in the United States to lead reliability for Windows-based production environments. You will bridge development and operations, automate infrastructure, and maintain strong operational standards across hybrid systems.

You will work with Terraform, Puppet or Chef, and cloud services (AWS), while developing automation in PowerShell and other languages. The role is remote with security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, DevOps, Site-Reliability Engineering or similar infrastructure role.
• Strong hands-on with Windows Server environments (2016+), Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Cloud experience with AWS preferred.
• Advanced scripting capabilities and REST API integrations.
• Hands-on with Terraform and Puppet or Chef for config management.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPN).
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience; security certifications/desirable (AWS Solutions Architect, MS, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable IaC across production environments.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc., for provisioning and config management.
• Manage configuration with Terraform, Puppet, and/or Chef across hybrid infra.
• Monitor system health and reliability using observability tools and best practices.
• Set and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets for production services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform root cause analysis for incidents.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment pipelines and release processes.
• Create and maintain runbooks, procedures, and architectural decisions.
• Lead or contribute to post-mortems and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple layers with a focus on operations excellence.
