Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced Retail and CPG Senior Solutions Architect (pre-sales) to partner with Account Executives. You will define and direct the technical strategy for 1–5 enterprise accounts, driving adoption of the Databricks platform and ML/AI use cases.

You will leverage your background in value selling, data platforms, and production data systems, building proofs of concept with hands-on resources, and mentoring teammates as you guide customers through transformational journeys.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in very large (> $1m ARR) Retail/CPG space.
• 4+ years in pre-sales or supporting sales activity.
• Technical in big data, data science, and cloud.
• Data-driven business transformation with data.
• 4+ years design/implementation in Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAP or full lifecycle data science.
• Maintenance and evolution of production data systems for complex customer needs.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Be the main technical voice for 1–5 clients.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in the account with a clear understanding of the strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Mentor other team members with structured guidance.
