Maximus seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team delivering innovative IT applications. You will guide software engineers across multiple projects, shaping architecture, development, and integration in alignment with business needs.

You will collaborate with delivery and product managers to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions and drive improvements in the software lifecycle. This is a fully remote role with travel up to 10%.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 7+ years of experience required or equivalent.
• Project management planning experience (1-3 years) required.
• Technical Medicaid experience (3-5 years) required.
• Maintenance & Operation (M&O) experience required.
• Technical leadership experience required.
• Continuing process improvement experience preferred.
• Managing cross functional teams preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic direction and guidance to software engineers within the IT Applications Development team.
• Define the key priorities in pursuit of the vision and goals associated with the Software Engineering practice.
• Ensure Software Engineering staff follow best practices around design, development, and integration throughout the lifecycle.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and handles personnel actions including hiring and performance management.
• Improve software life cycle time by enhancing requirements quality and streamlining design, development, and integration phases.
• Manage the Software Engineering staff as a shared service to support multiple projects.
• Ensure engineers have tools, skills, and training to support project needs.
• Manage geographically distributed staff to maximize utilization.
• Collaborate with delivery and product managers to support product delivery and enhancements.
• Drive engineering recruiting and retain top talent.
