Job summary

Kard Financial, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Customer Experience, to design and build scalable backend services powering the rewards experience. This remote role centers on transaction matching, offer ingestion, and partner integrations, with leadership through Shape Up cycles and on-call responsibilities.

You will improve issuer APIs and SDKs, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team collaboration in a fast-growing, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Expert programming skills in Go and/or TypeScript for backend services.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS and IaC (Terraform), containers (Kubernetes/EKS) and serverless (Lambda).
• Experience in transaction-processing or ingestion pipelines where correctness matters.
• Ability to write clear specs and drive cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable backend services (Go/TS) for CX.
• Own features end-to-end through the Shape Up process with a written launch/rollback plan.
• Participate in on-call, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Improve issuer/client-facing APIs and SDKs for reliability and self-service.
• Lead technical decisions and foster collaboration across Product, Design, and Engineering.
• Enhance security, reliability, and observability through best practices and testing.
