Job summary

Bankrate, part of Red Ventures, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design scalable, secure systems powering digital products. You will influence architecture, mentor teammates, and drive delivery across distributed services on a TypeScript stack.

You’ll collaborate with product/design, build CI/CD pipelines, and ensure performance and reliability while staying aligned with business goals. Expect leadership by influence in a dynamic platform environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and ability to apply them within a team.
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based services.
• Fluency in TypeScript-based stack across API services and full-stack web apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable systems within a team or product area.
• Contribute to the evolution of technical architecture and engineering patterns.
• Build and optimize continuous delivery pipelines to improve speed and reliability.
• Partner with product and design to translate business objectives into technical work.
• Scope, estimate, and deliver medium-to-large initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges and integration issues.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
• Contribute to team engineering practices and standards.
