KnowBe4’s Site Reliability Engineers help ensure our platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient. They work in a fast-paced, agile environment to improve safety and reliability of distributed services that power our platforms.

The ideal candidate stays current with AWS service releases, communicates effectively, and can manage time across multiple priorities while contributing to optimization and security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 8+ years of experience in software or system architecture.
• Training in secure coding practices (preferred).
• Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, JavaScript).
• Experience architecting high-scale, distributed patterns in AWS.
• Experience designing repeatable CI/CD workflows; GitLab preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong time management across competing projects.
• Ability to quickly understand, debug, and explain complex distributed systems.
• AWS Associate Cloud Certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Identify and plan future prevention for production incidents.
• Design globally distributed systems and processes for the organization.
• Identify deficiencies in current applications and infrastructure and correct them when found.
• Define tailored solutions to complex technical problems and share them with teammates.
• Make significant new contributions in technology, potentially patents and publications.
• Translate strategic goals into operational plans.
• Coordinate across teams and functions.
• Lead sub-projects or smaller teams when needed.
