Job summary

KnowBe4 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing team building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native services in AWS. You will enhance deployment strategies, observability, and incident response while collaborating with engineers across the organization.

The role requires strong scripting in Python/Ruby/JavaScript, expertise in AWS services, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform/OpenTofu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master/PhD or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Experience designing and operating high-scale patterns in AWS.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Javascript).
• Experience building repeatable CI/CD workflows; GitLab preferred.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to understand and debug complex distributed systems.
• Familiarity with open-source contributions or technical blogging.
• AWS certifications – professional level (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, cloud-native applications and infrastructure in AWS.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.).
• Improve deployment strategies and observability patterns.
• Provide incident root-cause analysis and resolution guidance.
• Design globally distributed systems and processes.
• Identify deficiencies in applications/infrastructure and fix them.
• Lead projects with other SREs and communicate progress to stakeholders.
