Job summary

ZealHire Inc. seeks a Senior Principal ServiceNow Architect for a remote, part-time engagement. You will provide high‑impact architectural leadership with hands‑on development, delivering scalable ServiceNow solutions within limited hours.

The role requires in-depth platform expertise, the ability to analyze scoped requirements quickly, design architectures, justify decisions, and implement with minimal supervision. Availability to overlap client hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Master's degree completed through an in-person program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.7/4.0.
• GRE Quant 165 or GMAT Quant 47.
• Active ServiceNow CSA certification.
• At least two active CIS certifications.
• Extensive senior‑level ServiceNow architecture and hands‑on development experience.
• Ability to translate requirements into implemented solutions.
• Experience with scoped apps, data modelling, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer, ACLs, APIs, and integrations.
• Designs secure, reusable, scalable, maintainable, upgrade‑safe solutions.
• Excellent analytical, productive, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate in a ~2 hour/day engagement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Design secure, maintainable, scalable architectures.
• Make architectural decisions on scope, data models, integrations, security and deployment.
• Identify risks, limitations, and performance concerns.
• Establish reusable patterns, components, and standards.
• Explain architectural decisions to stakeholders clearly.
• Personally develop working ServiceNow solutions, not only oversee others.
• Develop scoped applications, custom tables, Script Includes, Rules and APIs.
• Build reusable platform components for future scalability.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, OAuth, MID Servers.
• Diagnose complex platform issues and performance challenges.
• Demonstrate working functionality in collaborative meetings.
