Job summary

Fastly seeks a Senior Security Technical Account Manager to lead strategic security initiatives for enterprise customers across North America. You will partner with Product, Engineering and Security teams to drive secure outcomes, advocate for clients, and deliver tailored security recommendations.

Remote role, with occasional travel. The role requires deep web/app security expertise, 8+ years in customer-facing roles, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (TAM, Sales Engineering, Support, or Professional Services) for enterprise customers
• Strong expertise in application and web security (WAFs, bot mitigation, DDoS, OWASP Top 10, API security)
• Solid understanding of internet fundamentals (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, BGP) and modern app architectures
• Proven ability to move from reactive support to proactive security guidance
• Trusted advisor mindset with customer empathy, able to engage technical and executive stakeholders
• Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, Go) to improve workflows
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary security point of contact for enterprise customers, aligning security goals with Fastly products
• Build deep relationships with customer security, engineering, and leadership teams
• Provide tailored security recommendations based on customer infrastructure and business needs
• Advocate for customer needs with Product, Engineering, Support, CSOC, Sales, and Leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex security issues and escalations
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, automation, and tooling
• Design and deliver security workshops, deep dives, and enablement sessions
• Contribute to professional services engagements and security programs
• Coach and mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
• Help create and maintain internal documentation and playbooks
