Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Lead SCADA Design Engineer to own in-house SCADA monitoring and control system designs for utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects.

You will work in AutoCAD and Visio to produce comprehensive drawings, define standards, and support commissioning readiness and project handoff. This fully remote role requires strong SCADA networking expertise, fiber optics proficiency, and a focus on reliability, safety, and compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in SCADA engineering for utility-scale PV, BESS, or Wind.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting for SCADA, Networking, and substation layouts.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking concepts and architectures.
• Experience drafting engineering drawing sets for SCADA, networking, and electrical designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale projects and produce high-quality drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce SOLV design standards across teams.
• Coordinate with OT teams to define server and hardware requirements and drive standardization.
• Review drawings, perform redlines, and ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.
• Support project handoff, commissioning, and long-term system reliability.
