First Merchants Bank seeks an SBL Closing Specialist III to drive all steps of the SBA loan closing process from approval through funding. The role includes coaching staff, developing protocols, and serving as a primary trainer.

This position can be remote within our operational footprint. Responsibilities include coordinating third-party reports, preparing closing documentation, reviewing title work, and ensuring compliance with SBA and bank requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
• Demonstrated management, leadership and coaching skills.
• LaserPro experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SBA loan closing activities from approval to funding.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff; serve as trainer.
• Ensure compliance with SBA and internal bank requirements.
• Organize files and coordinate third-party reports.
• Prepare closing documents and review title work.
