Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to partner with retirement-focused advisors, drive growth of employer-sponsored plans, and manage Southeast and Northeast territories. The role leverages product knowledge, industry insight, and internal resources to deliver consultative sales support and grow new plan sales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in retirement plan industry or equivalent experience.
• Strong prospecting and closing skills in advisor-facing settings.
• Understanding of financial markets and retirement plan regulations.
• Experience supporting defined contribution retirement plan sales and advisory solutions.
• Ability to translate retirement plan concepts into clear advisor guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales plan to build pipeline and increase adoption of Cetera branded 401(k) solution.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery to proposal and close.
• Provide consultative sales support to retirement-focused advisors to grow employer-sponsored retirement plan opportunities.
• Foster advisor relationships through phone, web-based, and in-person meetings.
• Support proposal generation and prepare for client meetings.
• Provide product and solution consulting for employer-sponsored retirement plans, including defined contribution opportunities.
• Support advisors with practice management and growth strategies.
• Document sales activity and campaigns to promote growth and resource awareness.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support advisor needs and sales opportunities.
• Stay current on retirement plan industry trends and share insights with advisors and partners.
