Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a senior QA/Testing engineer to own automated testing across a modern SaaS platform. You will shape test strategy, implement end-to-end and integration tests, and run tests across web apps, APIs, and external systems. You’ll work with delivery teams, set a shared definition of done, and ensure quality before every release.

This is a fully remote role across the United States. You’ll use Python or TypeScript for test code, run tests in GitHub Actions, and build guardrails for

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality, test or software engineering, with automation you wrote yourself, running in CI and kept by other engineers.
• At least one test practice you built from a low baseline: you chose the tools, wrote the first suites, wired them into CI, and can explain what you left untested.
• Strong test code in Python or TypeScript across API, browser and pipeline, including headless browser runs and integration tests for failing dependencies.
• Experience testing business rules you had to learn first: you read the policy, found the gaps, and wrote tests from the answers.
• Experience as the only quality person across several teams, setting your own priorities with no backlog handed to you

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy and automation, prioritizing where the product may fail.
• Build end-to-end journeys, smoke suites on every build, and integration tests in code engineers review and keep.
• Choose tools and run everything in GitHub Actions.
• Provide ready/not ready release verdicts with evidence and non-engineer summaries.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to test features as they’re built and set a definition of done.
• Test web app, services, APIs, and external systems across browsers and configurations
• Build evaluation suites for AI chat features and guardrails, using golden datasets
