Atomic HR is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to own test strategy and automation for a fast‑growing SaaS platform serving frontline workers. You will build end‑to‑end journeys and a smoke suite for every build, collaborating across web apps, APIs, and external systems.

This is a fully remote role within the United States, with a hands‑on, senior seat and no direct reports. You will lead testing of business rules, ensure security and data protection, and provide clear summaries for engineers

Formación

• 5+ years in quality, test or software engineering with automation you wrote yourself, running in CI.
• Led at least one test practice from a low baseline, selecting tools and wiring into CI.
• Strong test code in Python or TypeScript across API, browser and pipeline, incl. headless browser runs.
• Experience testing business rules after studying policy and gaps, then writing tests from the answers.
• Experience as the sole QA across several teams, setting priorities with no backlog.
• Clear written updates for engineers and non-engineers, with data to challenge deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Define test strategy and automation for releases.
• Decide which areas are most at risk and what gets tested first.
• Build end-to-end journeys, a smoke suite on every build, and integration tests in code.
• Coordinate tests across web app, services and outside systems, including APIs and asynchronous flows.
• Write contract tests for outside systems and ensure behavior under slow or faulty dependencies.
• Prepare plain-language summaries of what is verified for non-engineers; push back on risky dates with evidence.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams, testing features during development and adjusting workload.
