Job summary

Coho Construction Management (CCM) seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer for a part-time role (~200-500 hours/year). The job leads multidisciplinary teams delivering construction and QA services for federal clients and requires a licensed PE with broad design/construction experience.

Remote work with periodic nationwide travel is expected. Flexibility is essential; position may involve work at secure facilities and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years in engineering, design, construction, or QA services.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any discipline.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage concurrent work.
• Solid knowledge of design/construction documents, QA/QC, and codes.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical findings.
• Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide and comply with security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, inspectors, laboratories, and consultants.
• Direct design and constructability reviews; ensure compliance with codes and submittals.
• Oversee field QA, inspections, testing, commissioning, and as-built records.
• Review submittals, safety plans, schedules, changes, costs, and schedule impacts; advise client.
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes, logs, trackers, and technical correspondence.
• Support inspections, punch-lists, project closeout, and turnover of docs.
• Monitor safety, security, and facility-access compliance; escalate issues.
• Mentor staff and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
