Qualifications

• Independent, current, and unrestricted Minnesota License in behavioral health with 5+ years of experience.
• Understanding of Minnesota's behavioral health system including mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities services.
• Experience with managed care principles, models, and financing.
• Public sector mental health or non-profit community mental health with Medicaid knowledge.
• Ability to build and retain top talent; strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficient data analytics; id gaps, trends, and mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and related web apps.
• Residence in Minnesota; willing to travel as needed.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Represent MBH and Optum departments with customers and communities.
• Lead behavioral health benefit management for MN Medicaid.
• Monitor MN DHS changes and ensure compliant implementation.
• Coordinate with state agencies on legislation impacting Medicaid and DSNP LOB.
• Lead annual MN DHS contract review and changes implementation.
• Interface with Payer Performance Channel and BH Ops teams.
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives for MN Medicaid and MBH team leadership.
• Ensure Medicaid contracts meet state benefit requirements.
