Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on optimizing petrochemical operations across multiple facilities. You will analyze complex processes, drive efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance, and help reduce costs while improving yield.

The role requires mastery of process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS), leading pilot plant studies and scale-ups, and delivering clear technical reports for global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or energy industry.
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Experience with safety management systems and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize complex chemical and physical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Develop and implement process improvements, including equipment upgrades, operational changes, and new technology integration.
• Conduct process simulations, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, providing expert guidance to plant personnel.
• Design and manage pilot plant studies and scale-up processes for new products or modifications.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation for internal review and external stakeholders.
