Job summary

ORBITAL Engineering Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer for a remote role. You will lead process design activities, develop key deliverables, and support client relations in chemicals and oil & gas sectors.

You will supervise engineering tasks, ensure safety standards, and collaborate with the Process Engineering Design Manager to drive project success. Travel may be required, and a PE license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of process design experience in heavy industrial projects (chemicals, downstream/midstream O&G, power).
• Familiarity with process simulation software and engineering tools.
• Strong MS Office and design/business software aptitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering deliverables: HMBs, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment lists, data sheets.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and engineering analyses.
• Review and check calculations, designs, and drawings on projects.
• Support business development and client liaison activities.
• Promote process safety and uphold technical standards.
• Prepare proposals with scopes, schedules and cost estimates.
