Job summary

One Call is seeking a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to provide architectural depth, delivery excellence, and hands-on leadership in a legacy-heavy environment undergoing modernization. You'll influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver high-quality software across .NET, SQL Server, WinForms/Web Forms, VB.NET and modern .NET Core, REST APIs, and front-end stacks.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Deep expertise in .NET Framework and .NET Core, C#, VB.NET.
Experience with SQL Server, Azure DevOps, REST APIs, and front-end tech.
Ability to translate complex requirements into executable technical plans.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in complex, legacy-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

Own and drive architecture and design discussions across multiple applications and services.
Provide pragmatic, hands-on guidance to teams across .NET, SQL, and front-end stacks.
Evaluate legacy architectures and propose modernization patterns (APIs, refactors, consolidation).
Facilitate technical decision-making with clear rationales and documentation.
Champion engineering excellence: code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability.
