Job summary
Cerence Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Technical Solution Architect for Humanoid Robotics in the California Bay Area. You will own the end-to-end software architecture for humanoid robot applications, bridging AI, robotics OS, and hardware.
Lead decisions on platforms, frameworks, and deployments while guiding a small startup team toward production-ready customer solutions. The role demands deep robotics knowledge (SLAM, MoveIt2, perception pipelines), strong C++/Python, and Linux expertise,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/Robotics/EE.
- 8+ years in robotics or cyber-physical systems.
- Strong C++ and Python design skills.
- Experience with real-time Linux and embedded platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end software architecture for humanoid robot applications.
- Define reusable software platforms across robotics, AI, voice, cloud, and edge systems.
- Lead decisions on frameworks, OS, SDKs, AI infra, deployment.
- Guide proof-of-concepts to production deployments.
- Collaborate with OEMs and partners; supervise a startup development team.
