Job summary

1X in California is seeking a senior/ staff AI software engineer to build the behavior systems that bring humanoid robots to life. You will design scalable AI architectures, orchestrate multiple ML models, and ensure robots reason about their environment and perform tasks in real homes.

You will partner with Core, World Model, Apps, and Motion teams to integrate behavior systems into robot operation, improve realism and robustness, and establish engineering best practices for large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software eng, robotics, AI, or related field.
• 6+ years in conversational AI or NPC behaviors; 10+ for staff.
• Experience with system programming and software design.
• Experience with Unreal Engine/ Unity or large-scale simulations.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable AI architectures for autonomous robots in home environments.
• Build orchestration framework for multiple LLMs to handle tasks.
