Job summary

Intuitive in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Senior Systems Research Engineer to explore embodied AI at the intersection of advanced AI/ML and robotics. You will recommend architectures and iteratively develop embodied AI applications to de-risk feasibility, performance, and safety for our products.

You will collaborate with motion controls, perception, AI/ML, software, and hardware teams to turn concepts into robust prototypes and contribute to the robotics platform roadmap from models to real‑time

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of embedded systems software development (R&D environments).
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python; real-time, multi-threaded applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize interfaces between subsystems for edge AI, firmware, OS, hardware, and cloud services.
• Build robust data pipelines and real‑time systems for sensor fusion, perception, and robotic control.
