Job summary
Cerence Inc. in the California Bay Area is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to own the technical core of opportunities in mobile and service robotics, interfacing with senior technical decision-makers and ensuring our voice AI solution fits customer hardware.
You will collaborate with sales, product, and professional services, translate field learnings into actionable strategies, and contribute to product direction based on real deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, AI or related discipline.
- Experience with robotics software stacks, middleware, ROS 2, Nav2, MoveIt 2.
- Experience with evaluating technology, delivering POCs, onboarding and post-sales hand-off.
- Willingness to travel 20–30%.
Responsibilities
- Engage senior technical decision-makers in robotics, shaping opportunities and driving technical success.
- Own the technical core of opportunities: fit voice solutions to customer hardware and workflows.
- Clear technical roadblocks to move evaluations toward signed deals.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and professional services; translate field learnings into product and sales strategy.
- Shape the product based on customer feedback and real-world deployments.
