Amplitude is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the United States to act as the technical quarterback for strategic opportunities. You will partner with account executives, lead technical discovery, and build proof‑of‑concepts to advise prospects on digital analytics strategy.

You will drive deal execution, collaborate with Product Management and Customer Success, and contribute to competitive intelligence with tools like Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, and Mixpanel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software pre‑sales or technical account management roles.
• Comfort speaking to nuanced technical concepts and self‑learner (Python, SQL, hyperscaler integrations, APIs, R).
• Hands‑on SQL experience: write joins, aggregations, and window functions to analyze behavioral data.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation phases for deals from $100k to $1M+ ARR.
• Design and execute hands‑on proof‑of‑concepts showing value in client data/use cases.
• Present to C‑level executives and translate capabilities into ROI narratives.
• Mentor junior SEs on technical positioning and demo best practices.
• Develop reusable demo assets and technical content for the SE team.
