Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Electronics specialization.
• 8+ years hands-on design and development of power electronic systems.
• Expert in converter topologies and SiC/GaN devices.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS; SPICE experience a plus.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and embedded systems.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and remote collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a distributed team.
• Experience with grid-tied converters and energy storage systems preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance power electronic converters for energy storage and grid apps.
• Run detailed simulations and analyses using SPICE, PLECS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Specify components including SiC/GaN devices and control hardware.
• Develop control algorithms and firmware for power converters.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation in lab or remote labs as needed.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and system architects for integrated products.
• Analyze and resolve power electronics performance, reliability, and thermal issues.
• Contribute to design standards and best practices for the team.
• Stay current with emerging power electronics technologies and trends.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for reviews.
