Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to design power systems for distributed generation, microgrids, and grid-interconnected applications. This fully remote role supports a global, project-driven energy technology team.

You will model generation, transmission, and protection schemes, perform power flow and stability studies, develop control systems for microgrids and storage, and document specifications. A strong background in power systems and remote collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

University degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
Master's or PhD highly preferred.
7+ years' experience in design and analysis of electrical power systems.
Advanced proficiency in power system simulation software.
Experience with renewable energy integration and energy storage is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Design and model electrical power systems including DERs for grid-connected and remote applications.
Perform power flow, short circuit, and stability analyses with standard software.
Develop protection coordination studies and relaying schemes.
Design control systems for microgrids and energy storage interfaces.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and project managers in a remote agile environment.
Prepare technical reports and design documentation; support commissioned systems.
