Job summary

Leidos’ ENTRUST team seeks a Senior Design Engineer to support critical utility distribution projects across storm hardening, pole replacement, and system upgrades. The role is primarily remote with limited travel and requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials and 3+ years in electrical distribution.

Responsibilities include producing designs, calculations, drawings, and analyses, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of electrical distribution experience.
• Familiarity with BOUD and Maximo software.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to develop and support utility design projects, ensuring specs and standards.
• Collaborate with designers, drafters, clients, and internal teams to complete design packages.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and analyses for projects of varying complexity.
• Support project coordination by communicating scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Review work products for adherence to procedures and quality controls.
• Conduct peer reviews and deliver accurate work with minimal errors.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Provide guidance to designers and drafters and support teamwork.
• Perform field visits as assigned.
