Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support critical utility distribution projects such as storm hardening and pole replacement. The position is primarily remote with limited travel, offering opportunities to lead design packages and coordinate with clients.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 3+ years in electrical distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of BOUD and Maximo software.
• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to develop and support utility design projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with designers, drafters, clients, and internal teams to complete accurate design packages.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and technical analyses for projects of varying complexity.
• Support project coordination by communicating scope, cost, schedule, and quality considerations.
• Review and ensure work products meet company and client procedures, including quality control and documentation standards.
• Conduct peer reviews, perform self-checks, and deliver accurate work with minimal errors.
• Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Provide guidance to designers and drafters and support team collaboration.
• Perform field visits and other related duties as assigned.
