Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support the ENTRUST team on critical utility distribution projects. The role is primarily remote with limited travel, focusing on design, calculations, drawings, and analyses for projects of varying complexity.

You will collaborate with designers and clients, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality design packages. A strong engineering background and hands-on experience in electrical distribution are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of software BOUD and Maximo.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to develop and support utility design projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with designers, drafters, clients, and internal teams to complete accurate design packages.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and technical analyses for projects of varying complexity.
• Support project coordination by communicating scope, cost, schedule, and quality considerations.
• Review and ensure work products meet company and client procedures, including quality control and documentation standards.
• Conduct peer reviews, perform self-checks, and deliver accurate work with minimal errors.
• Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Provide guidance to designers and drafters and support team collaboration.
• Perform field visits and other related duties as assigned.
