Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join the ENTRUST team supporting critical utility distribution projects, including storm hardening, pole replacement, and system upgrades. The role is primarily remote with limited travel, based in the United States, Florida, Orlando area, and focuses on delivering robust design packages.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 3+ years in electrical distribution, and proficiency with BOUD and Maximo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of software BOUD and Maximo.
• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to develop and support utility design projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with designers, drafters, clients, and internal teams to complete accurate design packages.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and technical analyses for projects of varying complexity.
• Support project coordination by communicating scope, cost, schedule, and quality considerations.
• Review and ensure work products meet procedures, including quality control and documentation standards.
• Conduct peer reviews, perform self-checks, and deliver accurate work with minimal errors.
• Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Provide guidance to designers and drafters and support team collaboration.
• Perform field visits and other related duties as assigned.

Pay Range

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
