Job summary

Zillow is hiring a Senior Specialist in Mortgage Operations, Post Closing. You will lead post-closing reviews to ensure loan data accuracy, compliance, and documentation prior to delivery to investors and secondary-market partners.

You will resolve complex defects, monitor conditions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize risk and ensure timely boarding and funding. Equity opportunities are available, with remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mortgage operations.
• Experience interpreting investor, agency, and regulatory requirements in loan files.
• Proven ability to resolve complex post-closing defects under tight deadlines.
• Experience using mortgage servicing systems to manage pipeline, documentation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive post-closing review of closed loan files for data accuracy and compliance with investor, agency, and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve post-closing defects and suspense items by obtaining missing or corrected documentation and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Monitor investor, warehouse, and secondary-market conditions and respond to stipulations and audit findings within required timeframes.
• Analyze loan-level and pipeline-level quality trends and recommend process or control improvements.
• Document post-closing workflows, reconcile file status in loan systems, and provide updates to leaders and stakeholders on aging items and delivery risk.
• Mentor less-experienced team members on post-closing best practices and communication with partners.
