UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Pharmacy PA/Appeals Technician to provide expert prior authorization support and title-level customer service for members, providers, and pharmacists. The role emphasizes clinical reviews, timely responses, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Work hours are flexible (5:00 AM–12:00 AM) with potential weekends and on-call, and telecommuting options are available for Wyoming residents who meet program requirements, within our telecommuter policy.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Wyoming.
• Active and unrestricted PTCB OR ExCPT certification.
• 6+ months of healthcare customer service experience.
• Basic proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work 5:00 AM–12:00 AM shifts, including weekends and on-call.
• Current residence in Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound/outbound calls (50+ daily) for prior authorizations.
• Provide clinical review and reference material to support formulary decisions.
• Process authorizations across multiple systems with accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve issues and assist pharmacist consultations with data gathering.
