Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Wyoming seeks a Senior Pharmacy PA/Appeals Technician to process prior authorizations and provide high-quality customer service to members and providers. You will conduct clinical review in line with regulatory requirements and work across multiple pharmacy systems to ensure timely decisions.

Experience in healthcare customer service, Wyoming residency, and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Wyoming Pharmacy Technician license.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification with NHA.
• 6+ months of healthcare customer service experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Wyoming residency/location required.
• Ability to work 5:00 AM–12:00 AM with flexible hours including OT and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage high volume inbound and outbound calls (50+ daily).
• Handle prior authorization inquiries with research and clinical information system use.
• Process prior authorizations across multiple systems with accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve issues and complaints promptly.
• Gather member data to provide information for pharmacist consultations.
