Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax notices, amendments, and corrections with independence and technical depth. This role emphasizes mentoring peers while handling high-volume case work and collaborating with Tax Notice teams.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3+ years in payroll tax notice resolution, FPC certification, and experience with state/federal regulations. Strong Excel skills, Salesforce familiarity, and a CPA-like accuracy are valued.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on payroll tax case work experience.
• Ability to read and resolve IRS/state notices accurately.
• Experience preparing amended payroll tax returns (941‑X, W‑2c).
• Familiarity with multi‑state payroll tax compliance and local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, ensuring accurate filings and outputs.
• Research and resolve complex IRS/state notices independently.
• Prepare agency responses with supporting documentation before deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (941‑X, state equivalents) on complex amendments.
• Support correction workflows and quantify tax impact across quarters.
• Maintain organized WIP and SLA-focused case documentation.
• Analyze data trends to identify process improvements.
• Contribute to SOP and knowledge base updates.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
