Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior SME responsible for end-to-end payroll tax issue resolution across notices, corrections, and amendments. The role focuses on complex state and federal tax matters, leading the team and mentoring peers while improving processes for customers.

Responsibilities include end-to-end filing of amended returns across multiple states, diagnosing and correcting payroll tax errors, and contributing to SOPs/knowledge base while

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Independent drafting of penalty abatements and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states and quarters.
• Prepare and file amended returns (Form 941-X, state equivalents).
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notices.
• Coach Senior Processors and share resolution methods.
• Draft SOPs and KB articles; identify recurring issues and propose fixes.
