Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer to lead Oracle HCM integrations and drive architecture for HR systems. Remote to start with hybrid conversion, intended relocation to major hubs as onsite work becomes required.

Role includes leadership in design, development, and operational excellence across HR/payroll/benefits platforms, with a focus on Oracle HCM Cloud and OIC. The candidate will own technical direction, disruption-free production support, and collaboration with HR, IT, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, or integrations experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle HCM APIs, HDL/HSDL, and VisuaBuilder Studio.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, SOAP web services, middleware and iPaaS platforms, SFTP/file transfers, event-driven integrations, and batch processing.
• Leadership roles (Lead/Principal/Staff) with enterprise architecture and solution design.
• Production support, incident management, RCA, and documentation experience.
• SDLC proficiency including architecture, development, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring/observability, release management, Agile and Jira backlog/sprint management.
• Preferred: large-scale Oracle HCM implementations, global teams, SOX-regulated environments, on-call rotations, SLAs/SLOs, and production support models.
• Preferred: leadership of large portfolios of HCM integrations across multiple vendors and functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, support, and optimization of Oracle HCM integrations.
• Serve as technical lead and escalation point for HCM integration issues.
• Architect and support integrations with payroll, benefits, retirement, equity, identity and access management, and other enterprise systems.
• Provide architecture reviews, code reviews, testing oversight, and deployment support.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD, source control, monitoring, documentation, automated testing, and release management.
• Develop runbooks, cross-training plans, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Security, IT, and third-party vendors.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering standards and operational excellence.
• Support roadmap planning, vendor management, and delivery execution.
• Participate in Agile processes, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Jira reporting.
