Ladders is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Manager to strengthen enterprise risk oversight across operational events, issues management, and control assessments. This role partners with first-line teams to identify emerging risks and drive governance standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operational risk, compliance, or internal audit in a bank or fintech.
• Hands-on experience with issues management or operational event programs.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms like LogicGate or Archer.
• Strong data analysis skills for trend identification.
• Knowledge of interagency and OCC operational risk management expectations.
• Ability to constructively challenge and maintain strong relationships.
• Proven project management skills, balancing program development with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Set standards for risk and control assessments and review first-line RCMs.
• Oversee the operational event program, challenging root causes and trends.
• Manage the centralized issues management program from intake to closure.
• Define enterprise Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and aggregate metrics for reporting.
• Collaborate with first-line teams and other departments to ensure early risk identification.
• Provide second-line review on high-risk new activities.
• Develop and maintain ORM standards, procedures, and templates.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits.
