Empower LLC is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Management Manager to provide guidance and credible challenge across the First Line of Defense in a remote nationwide setting. The role focuses on identifying risks, assessing controls, and driving remediation across business initiatives.

With 10+ years in risk management, you will lead cross‑functional analyses, develop action plans, and support risk reporting to senior management and risk committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise/operational risk or similar control functions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently analyze complex processes, risks, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational risk guidance and credible independent challenge to First Line of Defense on risk matters.
• Leads risk assessments and analyzes processes, risk information and data to identify risks and control gaps.
• Identifies emerging issues through indicators, risk events, horizon scans and recommends actions.
• Drives remediation and action plans with business and support areas; monitors key actions.
• Reviews initiatives to ensure risk and control requirements are incorporated.
• Supports risk reporting for senior management and risk committees.
